How to wake up early in the morning?


Waking up early is one of the most difficult tasks to do for almost all of us. We try to wake up early but most of the times sleep overpowers us. It requires a lot of willpower to wake up early in the morning. Most of the times it happens that we set our alarms to wake up at early morning but when the alarm rings we waste no time to switch off the alarm or snooze it. Setting multiple alarms also does not help. When we actually wake up, we tend to regret the fact that we could not wake up at the time that we wanted to. We promise ourselves that we will wake up early from the next day but the same thing happens again. This continues to the point when we convince ourselves that waking up early is something which we will never be able to achieve. So we give up even though we know that not able to be an early riser has affected our lives in a lot of ways. When we cannot wake up early, we feel demotivated, frustrated, tired and low on energy. We sometimes even miss our appointments, meetings, reach office late and a lot of other things. However, should you give up on ourselves considering ourselves as not a morning person? Should we quit trying to wake up early? Is there a way which makes us an early morning person waking up high on energy? The simple answer is yes. If you want you surely can wake up early. You just need to maintain a few simple steps:

1)         Sleeping Early: Sleeping early may not sound like the solution for you but you must have the necessary amount of sleep that a human being requires. There is no way that you be awake till 1 o’ clock at night and try to wake up at 5 am in the morning. Try to sleep early so that you get the amount of sleep required to function properly. When you sleep early, your body is not deprived of sleep. So when the alarm rings in the morning, there are more chances of being able to wake up. Your body does not revolt much since you already had the necessary amount of sleep. You will have more control over your mind and you can convince yourself to get up from the bed. Sleeping early is very important. You may face a little difficulty at first changing your sleep routine but you will become used to it gradually. 
                   
2)         Talk to yourself before going to sleep: Try talking to yourself while on the bed that you will be able to get up early tomorrow. Make it a habit of convincing yourself to wake up early while going to bed. Have you ever wondered why you can wake up early even without the alarm when you have to go for a vacation the next day? Sometimes we cannot even sleep the whole night thinking about the vacation. Still, we wake up early the next morning. Try convincing your mind that you can be much more productive than you are right now if you can wake up early in the morning. Think of it as a challenge that you must win. Make it exciting!

3)         Keep the alarm out of your reach: Always keep the alarm well out of your reach so that when it rings in the morning you have to get up from the bed. This way, you will be able to get rid of the habit of snoozing the alarm. However, do not go back to sleep once you have got up from the bed to switch off the alarm.

4)         Maintain a sleep routine: Try to sleep at the same time every day. When we go to sleep at almost a same time every day, our body tends to get conditioned to it. If you maintain such sleep routine, it can happen that you will be able to get up even before the alarm rings.

5)         Be active: It is very important to keep ourselves motivated to wake up early every morning until it becomes a habit. To achieve anything, the willingness to keep doing it is very important even if we fail at the first few attempts. So do not feel disheartened if you are not able to wake up early for the first few days. Read stories about successful people who wake up early and books related to waking up early.


I hope this article gives you some idea about waking up early in the morning. It is important to realize that it is not so hard to wake up early as it seems. Our mind tricks us in a lot more ways than we can ever imagine. We just need to find the right way of doing things.
